There is need to review the public nudity  rules in modern society and permit women to go topless in public.

– The main thing is gender equity. Whereas men are allowed appearing in public without shirts in the summer when the weather is hot or when they do sweaty physical work, women haven’t this right. This is an evidence of double standards.  Furthermore, the mere showing of the female breast in public is illegal according to state law in some states of the USA.

-I’m pretty sure that such topless legislation would not be implement among the conservative and religious societies. Moreover, topless woman is generally considered as shameless and immoral. Showing niples in the public is contrary to social norms and a sign of the easy virtue. Even in the top-free USA states the police can still arrest topless women under the pretense of “disorderly conduct”.

-I’m inclined to disagree with that, because morality and religion are not the points in this question. It’s definitely about women rights and women nature.  Nowadays women’s bodies contributed to their unfair sexualization by men. Women anatomy is not something to be ashamed of. Breasts is a sign of femininity in terms of children and breast feeding. What’s more, non-sexual toplessness such as topless swimming and sunbathing on beaches has become acceptable in many parts of Europe.

-I’d certainly agree if you’re thinking of top-freedom in case of  breastfeeding in public. It could be acceptable if done discreetly, but what bothers me is preservation women’s nudity for their husbands and shouldn’t show all other men their sign of sexual maturity.

-The whole point of this is that women should be allowed to go topless because they should have the same freedom as men. And if people stop considering breasts as explicity, they’ll stop being treated as such.
